FROM PARTS UNKNOWN
Strongman Pictures Pty Ltd and
Pro Championship Wrestling
Entertainment (PCWe) commence
principal photography for the
feature film "From Parts
Unknown"
Melbourne, Victoria. Strongman
Pictures, in association with
PCWe, today announced that it
commenced principal photography
for the independent feature
film,
FROM PARTS UNKNOWN last
Saturday, Oct 6, 2007.
From Parts Unknown will be shot
over a three month period, and
is scheduled to be "in the can"
by mid December 2007. Follow
progress at Strongman Pictures
website
or through
the film's myspace page (www.myspace.com/frompartsunknownmovie).
The first day started backstage
at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in
Melbourne's Botanical Gardens,
and traveled to the historic
Williamstown Cemetery in the
afternoon. "Day one went
exceptionally well", said
director Daniel Armstrong, "it's
a great relief to be over the
first full day with a new crew
and some brand new equipment and
technology,
and to finally know that it all
comes together on location
efficiently".
Day one also introduced some of
Australia's top wrestling talent
as Strongman Pictures' latest
stars. The Ox, Pitbull and Mr.
Big stepped in front of the lens
to crack out the first of their
scenes. "One very interesting
thing about this film", says
Armstrong, "is that we have
professional wrestlers turning
their hand to acting, and
professional
actors turning their hand to
wrestling".
"The rehearsal process has been
a combination of workshops,
acting lessons, wrestling
lessons and camera tests", says
Armstrong, "it's unlike anything
I've ever worked on, and we are
developing unique and
creative processes to bring the
story to life in a collaborative
environment, utilising the
talents of all our cast and crew
and those of our major
production partner, PCWe".
"For instance", continues
Armstrong, "Rebecca Bolton from
PCWe, is both cast and crew, she
has been working with actors to
advise and train them in the
skill of professional wrestling,
whilst working with the actors
in rehearsals on her scenes."
Rebecca has 8 years experience
as a professional wrestler, and
is currently promoting her
own live event – Wrestlefest –
the first of which will be held
on October the 12th, 2007 (for
more info on this event visit
